Fianna Fáil's parliamentary party agreed on Thursday not to enter into coalition talks with Mary Lou McDonald.

It's agreed to enter into discussions with the other parties.

Councillor Adam Wyse says he disagrees with Fianna Fáil's decision:

He says "I can understand the parliamentary party having that stance, in the lead up to this election Micheal Martin did rule out that he
would go into government with Sinn Fein. I would have a different opinion in terms of I think you need to sit down with everyone at the
table. I think every TD is elected to govern, I think every candidate runs in the hope that they will be able to play a role in the formation
of Government or role for their constituency and I think ruling out all parties and none is not the most democratic or right way to do it.

He says going by votes Sinn Féin won the election and parties need to start talking to them.
"I don't think it's right that we in Fianna Fail with 38 seats in the next dail can rule out a party with a similar number of seats. I think Fine Gael are wrong
as well and Labour have stepped back and said they will take no role in Government, that's completely wrong, because then you are talking about being in
oppostion for the sake of being in opposition.

Adam Wyse says he would like to see Sinn Féin TD David Cullinane in a ministerial role:
"If Sinn Fein are going to be in Government I believe it is important for us that we have a Minister".
