One person has been arrested at a pro-life demonstration in Waterford City.
Large banners with graphic images saying abortion kills were erected opposite Reginalds Tower.
Gardai received a number of written complaints from members of the public and asked protesters to remove the offending posters.
Two banners were taken down however one person refused. Gardai say that he was again directed but refused, the man was arrested under the public order act and the poster seized. He was later released with a file to be prepared for the DPP.
Guards called on “Vote No campaigners”. They were told to take down the graphic images they displaying. Passing cruise passengers looked visibly disgusted. pic.twitter.com/z360CyFLjq

@GardaTraffic Can you send Gardai to the Quays in Waterford please? There are some horrific images on display and it's distressing to the public? pic.twitter.com/qu9cB0HDM9
