A rainfall and flooding warning has been issued for Waterford and 7 counties in the south of the country.
Met Eireann says between 30 and 50 millimetres of rain will fall in a 24 hour period from tomorrow afternoon.
The affected counties are Waterford, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Tipperary.
Met Éireann has also warned that temperatures will drop to as low as -4C across the country tonight.
The nationwide Status Yellow Low Temperature Warning is valid from 9pm tonight until 9am tomorrow morning.
