40 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed by Department of Health this evening, bringing the total number of cases in the Republic to 169.
23 of the cases are males, while 17 are females.
25 are associated with the east of the country, 9 are associated with the west, while 6 are associated with the south.
It comes as all pubs in the country are being asked to shut their doors for the next two weeks to reduce the spread of coronavirus.
