There's no change in the number of coronavirus cases at University Hospital Waterford.
For the 12th day in a row there's just one confirmed case on site.
There were no suspected cases as of 8pm last night.
The total number of confirmed cases in Waterford since the outbreak began is 148.
Meanwhile the Manager of University Hospital Waterford says one of the things they have learnt from dealing with the Coronavirus is
that everything is possible.
Grace Rothwell says virtual clinics is one of the things they have had to introduce and they may in the future be able to implement.
She told WLR NEWS
"We have introduced a lot of virtual type clinics, now that is not to say that virtual clinics are the be all and end all, there will always be a requirement for
face to face, but I think moving forward as we look at the numbers of persons waiting to access our system and when we think of Slainte Care and what that
says in terms of people availing of the care they need in a facility that is nearest to them, we have in a sense achieved a lot of things that are in effect Slainte Care."
Grace Rothwell says the Dunmore Wing has been invaluable during this crisis.
"The other key thing for us that has worked very well is our new build, we call it the Dunmore Wing. The three upper floors of that build, we had occupied the very top
floor before Christmas for haemotology and oncology patients and the other two acute floors were vacant, give or take some day case usage. We used two floors in this wing
specifically for COVID. They are all single ensuite isolation rooms, they all have intercom access so that you can actually talk to the patient via the intercom."
