One driver's been caught doing 180 kilometre per hour on Dublin's M1, while another's been found doing 151 in a 100 zone on Cork's N72.
They're just some of the detections made as part of National Slow Down Day - a 24-hour Garda campaign which ended at 7 this morning.
One of those was driving at 138 kilometres per hour on the main Waterford to Tramore road, which is an 80 kilometre per hour zone.
While another motorist was detected driving 65 kilometres in a 50 kilometres zone on the Dunmore Road at Knockboy.
In total, 286 vehicles were found to be speeding out of almost 205,000 checks.
Chief Superintendent Paul Cleary, of the Roads Policing Bureau said: "We would like to thank the 204,849 drivers who were found to be compliant and drove within the speed limit and would encourage all drivers to drive safely, comply with and respect speed limits."
