100 people have died in Waterford because of Covid-19 since the outbreak began.
That's according to the latest release from the Central Statistics Office.
It shows that fewer than five Covid-19 deaths were recorded in Waterford during the week ending March 5th.
37 people died because of Covid-19 in Waterford during February.
56 people died from the virus in Waterford during January.
The median age of the people who died was 82.
Preliminary figures from the CSO show that 39 cases were confirmed in Waterford last week.
18 of those cases were linked to outbreaks.
Last week was the first time since the 11th of December that fewer than 50 cases were recorded in Waterford.
The positive cases in Waterford also had an average of 2.6 contacts last week.
