There was just one confirmed case of Covid-19 at University Hospital Waterford last night.
That's according to the HSE's Daily Operations update.
There were a further three patients awaiting the results of testing.
UHW had no confirmed or suspected cases in intensive care.
Elsewhere in the South East, there were 8 confirmed cases at Wexford General Hospital and 7 at St Luke's in Kilkenny.
Meanwhile, IT problems are being blamed for a delay in turnaround time for Covid 19 testing.
Over 44 thousand tests have been carried out in the past week with a positivity rate of 3.3 per cent.
The Director of the National Virus Reference Laboratory is hoping it will soon take 3 days from people reporting symptoms to getting their results.
Cillian de Gascun says technical issues are behind many of the delays .
"The challenging part is getting the pre-analytics and the post-analytics set up.
"As the scale has increased at each step and as the number of laboratories has increased at each step.
"All of those have provided challenges from the point of view of ensuring that the data that travels with the sample can go through the system in a streamlined fashion."
