The organisers of the West Waterford Festival of Food say this was their most successful one yet.

Almost 75,000 attended this year’s festival, which was the biggest year in its 14-year history.

The famous quay-side and town square markets were packed, more than 70 events took place in Dungarvan and throughout West Waterford, there were talks, guided forages, a full family programme and plenty more.

The festival is a true local celebration with huge community heart behind it.

Festival Director Eunice Power said, "We are thrilled that the 2023 West Waterford Festival of Food has been the biggest festival to date.

"We had a huge number of events and everything was really well attended.

"The programme was very diverse and inclusive in its offering, which is something we’re building on.

"I’d like to thank my incredible team for all their work behind the scenes and all the volunteers who gave their time over the weekend."
