Catch up with WLR's best documentaries this Christmas

Over the Christmas period we will be re-playing some of the best documentaries from the past few years, including Breast Cancer and me, the story of 4 young women diagnosed with breast cancer in their 30's, and Walshes of the Wine Islands, the fascinating story of Bernard Walsh from Waterford who moved to the Canary Islands in the 1600's and built an empire that still exists today.

Friday 27th December @ 6pm: Kevin Casey's award winning documentary on Waterford's 1959 All Ireland win.

Sunday 29th December @ 7pm: The Road Less Traveled - a documentary on the life of the late Liam Clancy

Sunday 29th December @ 8pm: Waterford to Grozovo - the history of the charity Chernobyl Air Ireland from their beginnings to modern day.

Monday 30th @ 10am - The Missing Postman, the disappearance of Larry Griffin from Stradbally in Co Waterford on Christmas Day in 1929, 90 years ago this year.

Monday 30th @ 11am - The Railway Fishery, the story of salmon fishing and the derelict Ballyduff railway station.

Tuesday 31st @10am: An Ice Cold Hug - the story of sea swimming in Waterford and the mental health benefits it brings to people.

Tuesday 31st @11am: Breast Cancer and me, the story of 4 young women diagnosed with breast cancer in their 30's.

Wednesday 1st January @ 10am: Another Brick in the The Hall, the history of Mt Sion school and its pupils and teachers.

Wednesday 1st January @ 11am: The Daly Sisters - the story of 2 Waterford sisters who went to extraordinary lengths to help others.

Sunday 5th January @ 7pm: Rosemund's Diaries, the story of Rosemund Jacob, a feminist campaigner and activist from Waterford.

Sunday 5th January @ 8pm: Walshes of the Wine Islands, the story of Bernard Walsh from Waterford who moved to Tenerife and built a wine exporting empire, much of which still exists today.
