APB Waterford has received 20 stars at the annual Great Taste 2022 Awards, which are run by the Guild of Fine Food in the UK.
14 of the company's products were recognised at the event, including its Dry Aged Striploin Steak, Dry Aged Rib Eye Steak, and Dry Aged Carvery Rib.
The Dry Aged Striploin Steak and Carvery Rib received two stars while the Rib Eye Steak received one.
APB Waterford also received six two-star awards across a range of products and eight one-star awards for beef products.
“The consecutive award wins by ABP and our products at the Great Taste Awards is a tremendous testament to the high quality of our beef products, which is a result of the hard work and dedication put forth by our employees and by our farmer suppliers," Dave O’Connell, European Commercial Director for ABP, said.
Other products recognised at the awards ceremony were their Specially Selected Dry Aged Tipperary Black Angus Rib Eye Steak, Irish Black Angus Rib on the Bone, Butchers Selection Fillet Steak, and Specially Selected Exquisite Irish Black Angus Beef 3 Rib Roast.
The Great Taste Awards are acknowledged internationally as a stamp of excellence.
Great taste was established in 1994 and is organised by the Guild of Food. It is the world’s largest, longest-standing, and most respected food accreditation scheme for artisan and specialty food producers.
This year, 14,205 different products from 110 countries entered the competition. 4,078 were awarded one star, 1,237 were awarded two stars, and 241 were awarded three stars.
The judging panel is made up of over 500 food & drink professionals, including critics, chefs, recipe creators, buyers, retailers, journalists, broadcasters, and experts in the field.
