Reporting to the Department Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Responsible for the day-to-day operations of hospitality, maintaining high standards
and conditions, and fostering a positive environment, which provides consistent,
efficient and friendly service, ensuring a total quality experience for both customers
and staff.
• Assist the manager on site to ensure profitability of hospitality by growing sales and
controlling costs of goods, inventory levels, labour, supplies and expenses.
• Assist with the sales and marketing of the Café/Restaurant and act on initiative to
optimise sales to the customer.
• Dealing with customers and suppliers appropriately.
• Work at events/functions and ensure they are run professionally and in a safe and
controlled environment, in line with the company’s policy on alcohol.
• To work within the kitchen/service/cleaning/cashier/floor/wash-up area in the
production and presentation of food and ambient products.
• Assist with the day-to-day operations and counter sales in the Shops, Delis, Baristas
and the Bar units to include bar attendant duties.
• Assist with any of the corporate/fine dining events when required.
• To stock shelves/counters/fridges and to undertake stocktakes when required.
• Responsible for date checking, stock rotation and for shop waste control.
• Checking in deliveries and ordering stock when required.
• Dealing with supplier representatives when requested to do so.
• To liaise with management on the provision of an efficient food service.
• Excel in customer care at all times and to deal with customer queries/complaints in a
compliant and courteous manner.
• Assist with the recycling/waste management programme in their working unit.
• To wear the assigned uniform at all times.
• To conduct good housekeeping practices within their working area.
• Comply and adhere to all guidelines on Health and Safety and company policies and
procedures.
• Assist with any administration work i.e., invoicing, purchasing, sales & stock.
• To be flexible at all times to help with the setting up of events, which may take place
at evenings and weekends.
• Assist with the design of promotional and marketing material.
• Other duties may be assigned to you from time to time.

Qualifications:
Essential – HACCP
Desirable – A third level qualification in Hospitality Management or equivalent.

Experience:
Essential - A minimum of 2 years or more relevant and similar experience in a customer
facing environment. Experience in the Bar/Hospitality/Retail industry & preferably in a
Barista Café environment is also required.

Personal Qualities:

The successful candidate will have excellent communication & customer
service skills with a friendly and approachable manner. They must be willing to learn & also
show initiative on their own or in a team environment. They must also be motivated, reliable
and committed to working evenings & weekends.
