Care Assistants and Staff Nurses
Waterford Intellectual Disability Association has a number of permanent positions for Staff Nurses and Care Assistants to work across its residential and respite services
WIDA is a community based voluntary provider of services for adults and children with an intellectual disability and/or autism in Waterford City and County.
It is a registered charity, with a voluntary Board of Directors and is fully funded by the Health Service Executive.
Permanent Part-Time Care Assistants – 120 Hours per month
Essential Requirements:
- A minimum of QQI Level 5 in Health Care or similar qualification is essential (a degree in Social Care or another relevant discipline is advantageous).
- 2 + years of experience working with people with Intellectual Disabilities is essential.
- A full, clean drivers licence is essential.
WIDA offers excellent terms and conditions of employment with salaries paid according to the HSE consolidated pay scale. All services are staffed in accordance with HIQA requirements and services are supported by the in-house multi-disciplinary team.

Permanent Staff Nurses
Essential Requirements:
- Registered Nurse maintained on NMBI live register is essential.
- Registered Nurse in Intellectual Disability is highly desirable.
- Experience in working with people with Intellectual Disabilities is desirable.
