Franco Suede is a washed-up playwright and theatre director who returns to his hometown after a disastrous career in England. He puts on what he believes to be his most accomplished and brilliant show yet. The project rapidly descends into creative madness. The unfortunate cast member, his agent, theatre staff and even a naïve punter, all become engulfed in the maniacal ego trip that is The Franco Fiasco.

If you miss this dramatic portrayal of actors, directors, and life in the theatre, you will regret it almost as much as if you come to see it.

The Franco Fiasco stars Philip Cullen and Clodagh Kenny. Cast members are Richie McGuire, Joe Hodgkins, Louise Moore, Fillipe Lezo and Owen Griffin. It is co-directed by John Kennedy and Fillipe Lezo.

The production of this film was supported by WWETB, Garter Lane Arts Centre, GOMA and Jordan’s Pub.

Admission is free, but tickets must be booked before attending. garterlane.ie
