The woman whose car crashed into a garda van in Waterford City in the early hours of yesterday morning is still being treated in hospital.
She is expected to make a full recovery with no serious injuries.
The incident happened at Gracedieu in the city when the woman's car overturned and went on fire on impact.
The two gardai in the van recieved treatment at University Hospital Waterford.
GSOC yesterday examined the car and the investigation is now back in the hands of the Gardai.
The road re-opened at 3pm yesterday afternoon.
