A Waterford TD says COVID 19 funding announced for 5 Waterford towns and villages is essential in the light of the coronavirus pandemic
A 2.8 million euro government package has been launched with an aim to help communities to shop, work and socialise safely while adhering to guidelines.
140 thousand euro is expected to be divided among Tallow, Kilmacthomas, Lismore, and Dunmore East - along with a countywide rural initiative
- While Carrick an Suir is also expected to receive funding.
TD Mary Butler welcomed the move and says Waterford's rural areas need the support from both government and the local community.
