If you love to scare the you-know-what out of yourself then you'll be happy with the news that The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is getting a reboot - and even better news still - our own Moe Dunford is in it!

Streaming giant Netflix has secured the global rights from Legendary Pictures to the bring us the latest version of the gore-fest.

What's "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" about

It's a 1974 American slasher film about a group of friends who fall victim to a family of cannibals while on their way to visit an old homestead (owned by the notorious Leatherface). While largely fictional, the horror was sold as being based on true events, to garner further attention at the box office.

What do we know about the new one?

It's directed by David Blue Garcia and was filmed last year in Bulgaria. It takes place years after the shocking events of the original and Leatherface hasn't been seen or heard of since. Dungarvan's Moe Dunford will star alongside Elsie Fisher (Eighth Grade) Sarah Yarkin (Happy Death Day 2U), and Jacob Latimore (The Maze Runner).

Nominated for a number of IFTAs, the actor has shone in some highly acclaimed films including The Dig, Rosie, and Black 47. He also turned heads in TV crime thriller Dublin Murders, for which he was also given the nod. This year, he was again nominated for an IFTA for his role in the boxing movie Knuckledust.

When can we see all new "Texas Chainsaw Massacre"?

All we know so far is that the horror movie will stream on Netflix later this year. We're guessing maybe it will be released just in time for Hallowe'en, so get the popcorn ready, and the blanket to hide under of course!
