Amy Orr and her husband Ross are currently very busy renovating a premises on Parade Quay in Waterford City, which will soon be the home of Youme, which Amy describes as the South East's first Zero Waste Refill Shop. I caught up with her to chat to her about the concept, and the work involved in setting it up

We heard the good news last week that Trilateral Research, which has a base at Belview, is planning on hiring 40 people over the next few years, with 12 positions available now. To find out what happens at the company, and what skill sets are required to work there, I spoke to Head of Irish Operations Rachel Finn.

It might all sound very futuristic but the research teams at WIT and CIT have teamed up to form Ireland's first 'Space Region,' seeking European funding to work with industry in areas like cybersecurity, agriculture and telecommunications. Dr Mark White is VP of Research and Innovation at WIT. He spoke to me about what the partnership means, and how they're hoping to team up with start-ups in the South East..
