Vanessa Whelan with her two newly adopted Donkeys
Vanessa, well known for her beautiful singing voice, is also an animal lover. She has recently acquired two new additions to her family in the form of Summer and Mini the donkeys. Vanessa explained to Ollie and me that many of these beautiful creatures are abandoned and in need to re-homing and she did just that through the Donkey Sanctuary, based in Cork. Vanessa explained the care required for the animals, and how much she, her husband and their children love them. She also told us about her upcoming concert, An Evening with Vanessa, Dominic and Dylan at Theatre Royal on November 30th.
