Geoff and Mary were joined in studio by"Bunnies" Jason King and Trevor Swift

This is the 7th annual event, and each year every penny raised goes to Crumlin Children's Hospital. The event kicks off at 11am at the RSC. There's a 5 mile chipped time run and a 5km walk (aimed at kids.) The children who participate will all get their own race number and goodie-bag.  Organiser Jason King and Trevor Swift joined Geoff and me in studio to tell us all about it.

A day of family entertainment

The Bunny Fun Run is about way more than walking and running. The organisers are laying on a full day of family entertainment; there will be bouncy castles, face painting, a free BBQ and chocolate eggs. Fancy dress is optional. The lads were keen to stress that every penny raised on the day will go towards the Children's Medical Research Foundation at Crumlin Hospital. You'll find more details here

Do you need to register for the event?

There are a few different ways that you can register for the Bunny Fun Run. You can go online here  or you can come to the RSC the day before -Easter Saturday April 20th, and register between 1pm and 4pm. Alternatively you can register on the morning  itself, there will be people taking names from 9.30am.

In keeping with the theme of the whole thing, Jason and Trevor rocked up to our WLR studios and spoke to us on The Big Breakfast Blaa in full bunny regalia. Not only that but they also brought baskets of chocolate eggs, which needless to say brightened up our morning!

Have a listen here to the lads' chat with us, where you'll find out everything you need to know about what promises to be a great family event for a brilliant cause..
