"Hillbilly Elegy" has just been released to Netflix
Based on the book by JD Vance, the movie version was directed by Ron Howard and released to Netflix this week. It's based around a troubled Kentucky family and has among its cast Amy Adams and Glenn Close. Have a look here at the trailer..
Chatting to Ollie and me on The Big Breakfast Blaa, Maria says she's surprised at the negative reviews this movie is getting, as she thought it was very good. However she does warn that it's far from a feel-good family drama, and that there are some hard hitting scenes, as well as outstanding performances, from Glenn Close in particular.
