Season 1 of this hit HBO show was based on the novel by Liane Moriarty and tells the tale of a collective of women with seemingly idyllic lives. However as their stories start to unravel and secrets are revealed, we discover dark undertones to the goings on in Monterey.  Starring Hollywood heavy hitters like Reese Witherspoon (Madeline,) Nicole Kidman (Celeste) and Alexander Skarsgard (Perry,) Season 1 of Big Little Lies was very well received by fans and critics alike. We're now in Season 2, where the producers are working without the storylines of Liane Moriarty, and with the added addition of Meryl Streep (Mary Louise.) After the third episode was aired, Jenny dropped into us to give her thoughts.

How does the story continue after the big reveal in Season 1 *contains spoilers*

So, fans of Season 1 will know that there's a twist at the end of the final episode, which causes a huge event (the death of Alexander Skarsgard's character Perry.) The characters are now all dealing with the aftermath of this and neither Celeste nor Bonny (Zoe Kravitz) are doing so well. Madeline and Renata (Laura Dern) have issues of their own to deal with, and the arrival of Mary Louise has certainly put a cat among the pigeons too.

What does Jenny think?

She's enjoying the series so far and feels the writers have done well, give that they've had to stray from the novel. She is especially enjoying Meryl Streep's "too sweet to be wholesome," slightly sinister character.

Jenny also reviewed Murder Mystery on Netflix.

Suffice it to say, she was NOT  fan!! She found it to be full of contrivances and most of all, not funny.
