Clocks donated to Waterford Treasures by Colman Curran and his wife Elizabeth Clooney

Back in the 18th century, Waterford was renowned for its clockmaking, thanks in no small way to the skills of William Maddock. Some of his clocks have been donated to Waterford Treasures by Colman Curran and his wife Elizabeth Clooney, and will go on display at the new 'Irish Museum of Time' when it opens at Greyfriars in the City. In his latest virtual tour, Eamonn talks about the brilliant clockmaking skills of Maddock and how the trade changed the world in terms of time-keeping.

If you like Eamonn's slots with us on The Big Breakfast Blaa have a listen here the story behind the death mask of Fr Luke Wadding.
