It was another fantastic evening in the Mercy Sports Hall yesterday as the Senior Team booked their place in the semifinals of the MissQuote.ie Super League Champions Trophy.
The visitors Liffey Celtics started the game well and took an early lead. However, Wildcats soon found their rhythm and took control of the game to deliver a convincing win in the end.
Speaking after the full-time buzzer head coach Tommy O' Mahony was over the moon with his team's performance, "We came out of the blocks great in the first quarter. I think we scored 27 or 29 points in Q1, our fast break really got going and we kept it going in the second quarter. They went into a zone defence in the third which we struggled with at times but we finished the game really well and came out with a 24 point win".
Final score: Wildcats 79 - Liffey Celtics 55
Top scores Wildcats: Jasmine Walker 14, Sarah Hickey 13, Stephanie O’Shea 13.
The last four clash with Brunell Cork will be on Sunday 27th March.
