Having finished the regular season third in the table, the journey is over for the Waterford Wildcats in the Super League post-season.
It's ended 78-75 in favour of Singleton SuperValu Brunell in their semi-final clash in Cork.
Tommy O' Mahony's team held a narrow lead at the end of the first quarter 23-20, but the home side turned the tables after the first break to lead 43-36 at halftime.
Brunell managed to extend their advantage to as much as 14 points midway through the second half, but the Wildcats were not finished with the contest. They fought back to bring the deficit back to a single point with the clock running dry, but the home team had too much in the tank and managed to hit one more score to claim the win 78-75.
