There'll be a new name on the Western Intermediate hurling Championship trophy this afternoon as Ballysaggart and Clashmore / Kinsalebeg battle it out for a first ever divisional title in their decider.
Ballysaggart, who claimed a Munster Junior hurling title in recent seasons, have had an impressive march to the final, seeing off Shamrocks and Cappoquin.
Clashmore are unbeaten all season and accounted for their neighbours Ardmore in the recent semi-final.
The sides met in the group stages earlier in the season, with Clashmore edging that one by a point.
Billy Devine is Vice-Chairman with Ballysaggart, he says they've been making steady progress over the last few seasons: "Since 2007 we've there or there abouts. It's s great sense of buzz in the community and it's great to see the lads out there still trying in the end of September."
Clashmore/Kinsalebeg trainer Michael Kelleher says it promises to be a great decider.
"It's the first time for all of Ballysaggart to play an Intermediate final, it's the first time for a lot of the Clashmore lads. It's a big occasion and they'don't come round all that often, so you have to embrace and enjoy it," he told WLR Sport.
The action in Fraher Field gets underway at 3pm.
The curtain rasier sees Ballinameela and Colligan go head to head in the Western Junior A Hurling Final.
Ballinameela, who dropped down from Intermediate last season overcame St. Mary's in last weekend's semi-final, while Colligan edged out Tourin.
Throw-in for that one is at 1:15pm.
