The Waterford county board have recorded a loss of €216,000 in their 2020 accounts.
Secretary Pat Flynn stated in his annual report that the board's finances have been severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Income totalled €968,000 in 2020, compared to €1.9 million in 2019, while expenditure came in at €1.1 million.

Gate receipts on club championship games fell by almost €236,000.

The board received Government funding of €84,000 for the 2020 championship and a further €50,000 from Sports Ireland.

The cost of Déise inter county teams stood at €705,000 on October 31. €398,000 was spent on the senior hurlers and €214,000 on the senior footballers.
