Three Waterford football teams have returned negative tests for players after they presented suspected covid-19 symptoms earlier this week.
On Monday, Waterford and District League secretary Martin Flavin announced that a family member of a Ferrybank player had tested positive and therefore the player was to be tested.
Subsequently, a Park Rangers club member had symptoms akin to covid-19 and as he had been in contact with both Division 1B and Youth A squads, their games with Stradbally and Carrick United had been called off.
A number of games this week were called off due to the players being tested but now that results have been confirmed, the league can resume from Friday.
