The senior football semi final between The Nire and Ballinacourty has been rescheduled from its previously rescheduled slot of Monday (28th) and will now be played on Wednesday (30th).
A Ballinacourty player who was a close contact of a confirmed case of covid-19 was required to complete a 10 day isolation, having also been tested and returning a negative test.
With the negative test result and the 10 day's completed, the player will now be available for selection for the game on Wednesday night.
The winner of the tie will be rewarded with a chance of taking the senior football crown from defending champions Rathgormack, who today ran out as 3-15 to 0-10 winners over Gaultier.
Earlier today, this afternoons match was also subject to uncertainty ahead of kick off, as the red card appeal for JJ Hutchinson went on until shortly before throw in.
Hutchinson had been sent off in last weekend's meeting with Bricky Rangers and due to a one game suspension, would be unavailable to Gaultier today.
Gaultier appealed to the Waterford hearings committee at which point the red card from the referee's report was upheld.
The club then went to the Munster council last night, and the hearing went on until the late hours - until the decision of the Waterford Hearings Committee was overturned
This morning, the appeal was re-heard and had been ongoing until shortly before kick off, when the original card was upheld once more and Gaultier were forced to play without Hutchinson.
