Worcester and Brighton each host a seven-race card today.

Action over jumps at Worcester gets underway from 1.15 pm, while seven races on the flat in Brighton go to post from 2.10 pm.

Dungarvan jockey Sean Houlihan pairs with the Sue Gardner trained Lapford Lad in the 1.45 MansionBet Bet £10 Get £20 Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Chase at Worcester.

The nine-year-old won over hurdles twice in 2019, while going close on two occasions this summer. Houlihan was most recently in the winner's enclosure when he piloted Snug As A Bug to victory in the Racing Partnership Mares' Handicap Hurdle at Newton Abbot, again for Sue Gardner.

The two to watch here are Regaby and Brother Pat.

Houlihan again goes in the final race of the day, the 4.35 MansionBet Beaten By A Head Maiden Hurdle over 2 miles.

The Dungarvan rider partners with Shelia Lewis for this outing where Lutterall Lad is expected to earn the plaudits. The Philip Hobbs trained five-year-old is making his hurdling debut but has proved a competent bumper performer.

190 miles away at the seaside, fellow Dungarvan man Trevor Whelan is in action at Brighton in the final two races of the day.

He goes in the 5.00 pm whichbookie.co.uk Best For Football Handicap aboard Ivadream, trained by Roger Charlton.

Whelan carried Roger Teal's colours to victory at Bath yesterday in the Sky Sports Racing Bath Summer Sprint Series Final Handicap where he rode Chipstead to an impressive podium finish.  Today, Charlton's four-year-old drops back to 7 furlongs and poses a promising chance for the Dungarvan rider.

The Gary Moore trained Tornado Grey goes off a strong favorite with Rhys Clutterbuck here having got back to winning ways at the same track last week.

Whelan has another ride with We're United and Ronald Harris in the closing event of the afternoon. The four-year-old can be hit or miss but did come close in Chepstow this past month, finishing third. Yesterday in Bath Harris' horse came close in the racing won by Trevor Whelan, where she again came third.
