Benji Whelan has handed debuts to five players as the Waterford footballers get their Division 4 Allianz National League campaign underway this evening.
The Déise welcome McGrath Cup champions Limerick to Fraher Field for the opening round clash.
The visitors defeated Waterford in their pre-season clash at the same venue earlier this month.
Paudie Hunt, Darach O Cathasaigh, Robbie Flynn, Darragh Corcoran and Dermot Ryan all start for the home side who'll be keen to start on a positive note.
Speaking to WLR Sport, Waterford captain Conor Murray says they're well aware of the challenge they face.

Conor is urging the Déise public to get behind this young and up-coming team this evening; "Yeah look - people need to know what they're shouting for first of all I suppose, they're shouting for a committed bunch of players who put a lot into it and we do it because we love Waterford football, this is a new year and we'd love everyone's support and it would make a huge difference".
