Following their victory away against Skerries Town on Saturday last Waterford FC will have to travel once again
to keep their FAI Cup dream alive.
They will play First Division outfit Drogheda United.
Drogheda caused a major shock in the first round when they defeated Shamrock Rovers. WLR's Matt Keane says their manager Tim Clancy has
assembled a very young squad, the average age of his players is 22.
The Blues have beaten Drogheda in the Cup on a couple of occasions in the past, but in 2016 they beat Waterford on four occasions in the league and went onto gain promotion to the
premier league.
Kick off in United Park in Drogheda will be at 7.45pm on Friday August 24th.
The draw for the last 16 of this year's tournament was made last night.
Holders Cork City will go up against Maynooth University Town.
2015 champions Dundalk face Finn Harps at home.
Derry City drew St Patrick's Athletic.
