The Blues travel to Co. Louth to take on high flying Dundalk who hold an eight point lead at the top of the table.
Waterford resumed their campaign after the mid-season break last Friday, but suffered a heartbreaking 2-1 defeat at the death to Bohemians.
The Lilywhites have won the two previous encounters to date this season.
Blues manager Alan Reynolds says Friday's defeat was a tough one to take.
Maxime Kougan, the Waterford defender says they must aim to turn things around.
