Waterford FC defeated Sligo Rovers 2-0 in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division last night.
They met in the RSC for the fourth time this season and after three previous draws, it was the Blues who came out on top in this encounter.
Rory Feely and Walter Figuera with the goals.
Just two points now separate the teams in Premier Division table.
This victory follows Waterford's win against St Patrick's Athletic the previous Friday on the same scoreline.

Manager Alan Reynolds says he was happy with the display and the win:
"I'm delighted. We set targets, as we keep talking about, and one of those targets was to catch Sligo. We prepared well for it and the lads have applied themselves right. My fear was that after winning Friday they'd take the foot off the pedal."
