Waterford FC have come back for the corona virus induced break in the League Of Ireland and started off with a win.

They traveled to Tolka Park to face Shelbourne FC for their first competitive game in 21 weeks. The Blues have made four signings this week with three of those four (Oluwatunmise Sobowale, Robbie Weir & Kurtis Byne) on the field today.

Waterford took the lead on 15 minutes thanks to a John martin goal - unfortunately he couldn't see the game out and was taken off due to injury on 58 minutes, replaced by Will Longbottom.

The Waterford goalkeeper Brian Murphy had a quite day between the sticks, but came to the rescue at one point, preventing Karl Sheppard's effort.
