Waterford FC has appointed Kevin Sheedy as manager.
The former Everton and Liverpool midfielder scored the famous goal against England at Italia '90 as well as one of the penalties against Romania helping to secure Irelands passage to the quarter finals.
Sheedy has previously worked as the U18 manager at Everton and most recently took charge of the Al–Shabab FC youth side in Saudi Arabia.
He will be assisted in his role at the RSC by Mike Newell who worked with Sheedy at Al–Shabab, before returning to England as assistant manager at Wrexham.
