Clare booked their place in the Munster Hurling Cup Final following this afternoon's 2-24 to 1-22 win over Waterford in Cusack Park, Ennis.
It was a useful workout for both teams in their first competitive outing of 2022.
Clare held a 1-10 to 0-10 lead at the break with Mark Rodgers netting the goal on 27 minutes.
Both free takers were top scorers with Patrick Curran and David Reidy both finishing with 9 points each.
Austin Gleeson who ended with 1-5 brought the visitor's right back into contention with a fine goal but Banner substitute Shane Meehan goaled at the other end to put the game to bed.
