Villa FC are enjoying a rich vein of form at the moment and last weekend the local side sealed their place in the last four of the FAI Junior Cup courtesy of a 2-1 win over Peake Villa (Thurles) at Connors Park.
Dean Walsh and Aaron O' Connor netted the goals for the home side who had to withstand a strong challenge from the Tipperary outfit. Salthill Devon will provide the opposition in next months semi-final which is scheduled for May 1st in Ozier Park.
Villa's Cian Browne featured on Monday evening's "On The Ball" programme and he admitted that they were pushed all the way last Sunday; "We know a lot about them (Peake Villa), we studied them a lot and they really gave us a good game, we weren't expecting them to come out the start of the match that quick, tough game overall but couldn't be happier".
The home crowd played a big part as well, "Huge crowd, makes a big different having the crowd there" said Cian. "Playing in front of the home fans and even lads from Hibs and Tramore, I could see them all so to have the whole county there watching, it was very good".

Cian Browne is a busy man at the moment as he's also a member of the Waterford Under-20 Gaelic football panel. The Déise commence their Munster Championship campaign with a home tie against Limerick next Monday night (7pm throw-in at Fraher Field). The Kill clubman says it's going to be a massive game; "Can't wait for that either, the whole squad - we're all looking forward to it and it's a big game and hopefully a good crowd at that down in Fraher Field, we've worked hard, we're going out to win and we have the squad".
