The SETU Waterford Vikings lost out in dramatic fashion in Division One of the National Basketball League last night.
Leading by a point with just four seconds on the clock thanks to a basket from US star Aaron Jackson, the Vikings looked set to secure a 73-72 win against Team NorthWest.
However, an opportunistic three-pointer from long range on the buzzer flew in and gave NorthWest a 75-73 success in what was a real sucker punch for the home side at a sold-out Carrickpheirish Hall.
