Waterford got back to winning ways in the Senior All-Ireland Championship by defeating Meath this afternoon.
They led 4-6 to 0-6 at halftime. Beth Carton and Annie Fitzgerald with a brace apiece had the Deise in total control at the interval.
Niamh Rockett raised Waterford's 5th green flag in the second half and manager Donal O'Rourke was able to empty his subs bench during the second half as he and and squad will now prepare for next weeks home game against Clare.
The result that puts them level with Tipperary but holding second place due to a superior score difference.
