US Open destined Power lines out at Memorial Tournament

With his place secure for the 2024 US Open at Pinehurst, Seamus Power will be putting the finishing touches to his game at the Memorial Tournament in Ohio this weekend.

The action is underway at Muirfield Village Golf Club on Thursday where nine of the world's top ten are in attendance, while all of the top 30 in the Fed Ex Cup standings will be there. The only player missing from the top ten is LIV golfer Jon Rahm.

A T12 finish at the RBC Heritage remains Power's best result of 2024 with just one other top 20 this season when he finished T16 at the Wells Fargo.

Four missed cuts have blighted his hopes of climbing back up the world rankings where he once held a top 30 berth, currently sitting 118th.

His most recent missed cut came at last weekend's Canadian Open which was won by Ryder Cup-winning Team Europe member Robert MacIntyre for his first win on the tour.

On Thursday evening, Power plays with Canadian Corey Connors, teeing off at 5.45 pm Irish time.
