The opening session of the four day August festival of racing in Tramore was run off on a sunny evening in front of a large attendance.
Five favourites obliged on the seven race card and local trainer Henry De Bromhead sent out Statistical the 3/1 market leader to capture the opening race of the festival. Statistical was partnered by Rachael Blackmore who went on to record a double on 5/2 chance Mysloegin.
Tramore native Noel Dooly was on the mark in race six courtesy of 14/1 outsider Cantkidakidder.
The action continues this evening (Friday) with the first of seven National Hunt races underway at 5:00 pm.
