Rathgormack sharpshooter Jason Curry is the top performer in the Waterford SFC ahead of Sunday’s county final according to Tony Ryan of the Dungarvan Observer.
“He has scored 3-24 (1-18 from frees, a penalty and 1-6 from play). He goes about his business without any fuss. 3-24 in four games. To date, he is the player of the championship.”
His Rathgormack team mate Conor Murray is another who is shooting the lights out. ”He has scored 15 points from play. Any point that Conor Murray scores is a class point.”
Nire defender Dermot Ryan has also caught the eye. “He is wing back but he has scored 13 points from wing back including nine frees. Not only that, he scored them at a time against Stradbally to put Stradbally under the cosh. The same thing against Ballinacourty.”
