Shamrock Rovers 3 - Waterford FC 0
Waterford FC were no match for a Shamrock Rovers team who are now unbeaten in their last 31 league games.
Played on Monday in a bitterly cold Tallaght Stadium Rory Gaffney gave the Hoops the lead after 14 minutes.
Gary O'Neill made it two nil on 34 minutes after the Waterford defence failed to deal with a free-kick taken by Aaron Greene.
Danny Manderiou wrapped up the scoring when he touched home a pass from Graham Burke in the 54th minute.
The Blues looked laboured all through the game and they never really threatened the home defence.
Next up for Kevin Sheedy's side is a visit by Drogheda United to the RSC next Saturday (8th May) with a 6pm kick off.
