The Goffs Thyestes Chase, the prestigious €100,000 race, takes place at Gowran Park today at 3:25pm.
The Willie Mullins-trained Acapella Bourgeois heads the 18 runners for Gowran Park’s flagship competition, run over a testing trip of 3 miles and 1 furlong.
Owned by the Slaneyville Syndicate, who won the race a year ago with Total Recall, the 11-year-old was sixth in the race last year and most recently finished runner-up to Al Boum Photo at Tramore on New Year's Day.
While leading trainers Willie Mullins and Gordon Elliot have multiple entries, the only Deise trained interest is Spyglass hill who runs for Henry de Bromhead.
The first of seven races at Gowran Park goes to post at 1:15pm
