Waterford's Thomas Barr and his Ireland teammates have won gold at the European Athletics Championships in Rome, winning the 4x400m Mixed Relay Final.
Barr, Rhadisat Adeleke, Chris O'Donnell and Sharlene Mawdsley came home in first to create Irish athletics history at the Stadio Olympico.
It's only the second time that Ireland have won a gold medal at the European Athletics Championships in the last 90 years - the other gold coming from Sonia O'Sullivan.
Team Ireland came home in a championship record time of 3 minutes 9.92 seconds.

The silver medal went to Italy while the bronze went the way of the Netherlands.
Barr ran the fastest time of the Irish quartet - coming in in 44.90 seconds before Mawdsley led the quartet home with a 49.40 second burst.
