Derek McGrath thinks that Waterford will add their fourth National League title on Saturday night.
"We're in a really good place. The Austin loss may even galvanise the squad. They'll be mad to get a national trophy. There will be no holding back from either side. I don't think people will be looking at what's going to happen in a few weeks' time. This can act as a catalyst for further trophies. When Waterford lift the trophy on Saturday night, I don't think it will be the last trophy they'll lift this year."
He has been impressed by the displays of Darragh Lyons at midfield in the absence of Jamie Barron. "He won an All Ireland under 21 at corner back and now he's the prototype modern midfielder. Up and down, helping all over the pitch, driving the thing on. What he has as well is the brilliant ability to hit what I call an arrowed pass off the hurl. Obviously, a brilliant communicator in terms of his work with Tadhg De Burca and covering the opposition number eleven. He's had an outstanding league. He's the first name on the team sheet in terms of midfield spots at the moment."
