Waterford camogie goalkeeper Brianna O'Regan felt that her family were looking down on her in Semple Stadium as the Déise pulled off a famous win over Tipperary.

In 2006, her parents Bryan and Johanna and her sister Niamh died in a house fire at their home in Ballybeg.

"Tomorrow is going to be very hard for me," she told WLR's Gavin Whelan after the game. "I lost my mother, my father and my sister 16 years ago. They were looking down on us today and thankfully we got over the line. I always knew they were beside me the whole time. I think they got us over the line today. I was saying every prayer to them when Tipp were pushing on and pushing on. I was like 'look just get us that win today,' Thankfully, they did."

She did her family proud with a clean sheet. "They came at us and at us and at us. They went for goal a few times and thankfully, they didn't go in. We're delighted with the win."
