Lorraine Bray has been part of the Waterford camogie first team since she was fifteen.
"I came in under Mark Cooney at the time. I've gone through a lot of different set-ups. I'm around the block a long time!"
It was intimidating at first for the Cappoquin midfielder. "It was definitely scary. I wouldn't have known Mark that well at the time. There was a few players around the area I did know on the panel and everyone was very welcoming. I got stuck in straight away and a lot of that panel is here to this day."
Bray was player of the match in the 2015 All Ireland intermediate final win over Kildare and was nominated for a senior All Star last season. She dabbled in other sports before she settled on camogie. "I think I played every sport under the sun back in the day!"
Waterford make the trip to Tipp in round one of the All Ireland series on Saturday evening. The Premier County have beaten them in league and Munster championship so far this year but Bray hopes that they can turn the tables. "It's definitely within the team. When we played them in the quarter final last year there was nothing between us. We definitely have the potential to do it."
Throw in at the Ragg on Saturday is at 5 o'clock.
