John Sheridan has been linked with a move to Wigan Athletic having spent less than two months at the RSC.
A report by the Irish Examiner has said that the Blues boss is set to leave Waterford after tomorrow nights away game against Bohemians in the League of Ireland.
The news comes at a time when previous manager Alan Reynolds has just become available having left his position at at Dundalk FC last week.
Asked for comment by WLR Sport, the club are yet to respond.
